Two representatives of PWEG have participated in a Symposium on Wastewater Reclamation and Reuse for Water Demand Management in Palestine and Celebrating the World Water Day, 2-3 April, 2008, Birzeit University, the symposium was organized by the Institute of Environmental and Water Studies at Birzeit University in cooperation with the Palestinian Water Authority, the International Development Research Center (IDRC), German technical Cooperation (GTZ), and UNESCO-IHE Partnership for Water Education and Research (PoWER).
The symposium aimed at presenting the results of research projects and exposing Palestinian policy-makers to the different aspects of wastewater treatment and reuse for agricultural irrigation. The symposium gathered the main stakeholders including, scholars, scientists, experts and researchers, confronting end users, managers, decision makers and stakeholders from universities, institutes, agencies and authorities.
